The People Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the success of the Consulting Services team by aligning HR strategies with business goals, optimizing resource planning, and driving process improvements. This position centers on talent management, staff development, and cultivating a high performing, engaged workforce while providing hands-on support to drive operational efficiency and support the growth of the Consulting Services team.

The People Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the success of the Consulting Services team by aligning HR strategies with business goals, optimizing resource planning, and driving process improvements. This position centers on talent management, staff development, and cultivating a high performing, engaged workforce while providing hands-on support to drive operational efficiency and support the growth of the Consulting Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding & Employee Experience: Improve onboarding processes, facilitate orientation, and serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries about policies, processes, and procedures.
- Staff Development & Training: Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps, design training programs, and foster professional growth.
- Performance Management: Assist managers with performance reviews, provide feedback support, and implement improvement plans.
- Talent Management: Support talent acquisition, retention, and career development to build a diverse and engaged team.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- HR Administration: Manage and update time-off requests in HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR), ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Employee Check-ins: Conduct regular performance check-ins to review development plans, set goals, and align with company objectives.
Operations & Administration:
- Develop reports to track key metrics and team productivity.
- Manage the annual training calendar and monitor attendance.
- Assist with resource planning, allocation, and PTO/leave tracking to ensure efficient team operations.
People Operations Management:
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for Consulting Services staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop individual growth plans and career paths.
- Research and recommend relevant technical and soft skills training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of HR functions including coaching, performance management, and learning & development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in project management, tracking deliverables, and data analysis/reporting.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
- Experience with HRIS (BambooHR, Rippling, PeopleSoft).
- Familiarity with project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Zoho).
- Experience with flowcharting tools (Visio, PowerPoint, LucidChart).
