The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimating for civil construction projects, with a strong ability to analyze costs and prepare detailed estimates for various projects, including roads, highways, and structures. The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects are accurately estimated and delivered within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans and specifications to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and overhead costs.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.Analyze vendor quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure competitiveness.Utilize estimating software, such as Edge Software, to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process.Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.Monitor project costs and update estimates as necessary during the project lifecycle.Assist in training and mentoring junior estimators and team members.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on civil projects.Strong understanding of construction costs and pricing for various project types, including roads, highways, and structures.Proficient in estimating software, preferably Edge Software.Knowledge of roofing, paving, traffic control, and excavation processes is a plus.Experience with federal, military, and intermodal projects is desirable.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.BenefitsHealthVisionDentalPaid Time OffHoliday PayRetirement PlanFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
