The successful candidate will play a critical role in the estimation and bidding process for various heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, and public infrastructure.This is an opportunity to join a stable company that's been around for 35+ years and regularly wins awards for their projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, and public works.Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to determine project requirements and scope.Utilize HCSS software for efficient estimation processes and cost management.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project constraints and requirements.Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for potential project challenges.Maintain and update cost databases and historical data for future reference and benchmarking.Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.Required Qualifications5+ years heavy civil experience 3+ years heavy civil estimating experienceBridge experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proficient in using HCSS software and other estimation tools.BenefitsMedical / vision / dental plansPTOLife Insurance401k with matchTuition AssistanceFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
