Tempe, AZ Full-time $150,000.00 - $190,000.00Posted 07/15/2024Position Overview:The Senior Estimator for Heavy Civil Construction will be responsible for leading the estimating process for for various large scale heavy civil projects. This individual will play a critical role in accurately determining project costs and ensuring profitability for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Heavy Civil construction and extensive experience in estimating for large-scale projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead the estimating process for various Heavy Civil Construction projectsReview project plans and specifications to accurately determine project costsCollaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates and schedulesPrepare and submit bid proposals to clientsAnalyze project risks and provide cost-saving recommendationsEnsure all project costs align with company standards and budgetsStay updated on industry trends and changes in construction costsProvide mentorship and support to junior estimatorsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in estimating for Heavy Civil construction projectsStrong knowledge of roadway, highway, and sitework construction processesExperience with estimating software and toolsAbility to read and interpret project plans and specificationsExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and mentorship abilitiesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentBenefitsBenefits: Competitive Salary($150,000-$190,000 DOE)Paid holidays, sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending plansPlans available for 100% of the premium is paid for eligible employees and dependents.  Employees can also opt into a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).Competitive 401K w/ MatchFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
