Base salary: 80,000 to 85,000 CAD a year.

About the job

The Partner Business Planning Associate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CxO Engagement Program, which aims to strengthen and deepen Google Cloud's relationships with CxOs in priority accounts and sectors across North America, Europe, and Asia. This includes managing exclusive events, coordinating one-on-one conversations, and driving engagement with senior leaders at key partner organizations such as McKinsey, Bain, and BCG.

The role involves working closely with Google's cloud partners to ensure effective execution of the program, tracking key metrics, and ensuring alignment with industry-focused AI narratives. Additionally, the Program and Operations Manager will support various other projects related to Google's partner agreements, providing ongoing operational and strategic support to achieve program goals and optimize sales follow-through.

Schedule
  • The schedule will be Monday to Friday, with a 9-hour shift from 9 AM to 6 PM (EST). However, should be open to occasional flexible hours to align with global team members and client needs.


Location

  • Candidates are advised to be within travel distance from our primary location Yonge & Eglinton.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in program management, preferably within the technology industry with at least 3+ years in a partner/channel environment.
  • Experience managing large-scale, executive-level events with external vendors, including all aspects of event logistics and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build strong relationships with senior leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a partner/channel environment
  • Experience in executive level communications
  • Experience in designing and delivering executive level corporate events
  • Proficiency in reporting, ideally leveraging looker or other SQL platforms
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com


Responsibilities

Program Management:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for both partners, outlining key
  • milestones, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of both partners, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Establish and manage communication with McKinsey and BCG, facilitating seamless information flow and collaboration.
  • Prepare and present regular program updates, reports, and presentations to key Google Cloud stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Manage the program budget effectively, tracking expenses against the agreed-upon fees outlined in the SOWs.

CXO Event Planning and Execution:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of ten (10) to fifteen (15) exclusive events working with our partners, Google Cloud (sales, marketing and alliances), designed to engage senior executives from targeted companies.
  • Coordinate with Google Cloud executives' office on events including but not limited to agenda, event attendees, logistics, talking points.

Event Logistics:
  • Work with the Partners to identify and secure appropriate venues for each of the events (where its not an existing event).
  • Develop event themes and agendas in collaboration with Partners, ensuring alignment with Google Cloud's strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Google Cloud's marketing team and Partners' marketing teams to develop excitement around the event on social media/ other platforms (where relevant).
  • Monitor attendee registration and RSVP tracking to identify high priority clients for GCP.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Google Cloud,

including senior leadership, sales, marketing, product, and partner teams.

Conduct regular meetings to communicate program updates, gather feedback, and

ensure stakeholder alignment.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Develop and implement a robust framework for tracking program performance against key metrics, including event attendance, lead generation, pipeline impact, and ROI.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to program owners, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.


Deliverables:

Program Management:
  • Detailed program plans outlining key activities, milestones, and deliverables for both programs.
  • Regular program status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and budget summaries.
  • Post-event reports summarizing key outcomes, learnings, and recommendations for future events.

CXO Events:
  • Successfully planned and executed ten (10) to fifteen (15) events engaging a

targeted audience of CXOs.
  • Compelling event content (e.g., presentations, talking points, customer fact packs) aligned with event themes and Google Cloud messaging.
  • Post-event sales follow-on packages, including meeting notes, potential opportunity identification, and suggested next steps.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Agenda for weekly (or more) meetings to update on process.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Framework and KPIs to measure program success.
  • Dashboard to review metrics as needed.
