The Maintenance Manager is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and appearance of both commercial and residential properties. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.

Description

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and general building systems (lighting, doors, windows, etc.) for both commercial and residential properties.

  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner, troubleshooting and repairing any issues related to plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, or general facility problems.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.

  • Emergency Response: Provide emergency maintenance support during off-hours for urgent issues (e.g., water leaks, electrical outages, HVAC failures).

  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials, and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.

  • Tenant Interaction: Communicate with tenants in a courteous and professional manner to address maintenance concerns, schedule repairs, and ensure tenant satisfaction.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and building codes to ensure work is performed in compliance with local regulations and company policies.

  • Facility Upkeep: Assist with general cleaning, upkeep, and beautification of commercial and residential properties, including landscaping and exterior repairs.

  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of work completed, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment servicing.

  • Collaboration: Work with the property management and development teams to coordinate large-scale repairs, renovations, and property upgrades.

Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Maintenance Technology or related field preferred).
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, with experience in both commercial and residential properties highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
  • Ability to operate power tools, diagnostic equipment, and general maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
