Are you ready to be part of a team that’s shaping the future of transportation? We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic environment as Engine Assembly Technicians. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a competitive pay rate of $20/hour and voluntary overtime.


Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift available
Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED



About the Role

The Engine Assembly Technician will perform critical disassembly, assembly, inspection, and testing of locomotive traction motor combo components. Working hands-on with advanced manufacturing equipment, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivering superior products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.

  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble locomotive traction motor combo components.

  • Operate manual and automated equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes.

  • Inspect work components to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for completed processes.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.

  • Provide training and support to team members.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by team leaders.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical certification.

  • Experience with inspection measurement equipment and analytical testing.

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and quality procedures.

  • Fork truck and overhead crane operation experience.

  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
