Pediatric Oncologist - solid tumor focus

The Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Childrens Minnesota is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hematology Oncology physician with a dedicated interest in solid tumor patients.

Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program is currently composed of over 200 dedicated professionals including 22 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, genetic counselors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care and hospice specialists.

Our program sees on average 35 new solid tumor patients per year. We have 2 full time solid tumor physicians. We have 1 dedicated solid tumor nurse practitioner, and 3 solid tumor nurse case managers. Interest in adolescent and young adult care as well as survivorship is welcomed.

The department at Children's of Minnesota provides care for children of all ages with all types of malignancies including brain tumors, solid tumors, and leukemia; and blood disorders such as sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, and anemia. As the largest provider of services for children with cancer and bleeding disorders in the region, the Cancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on providing well-coordinated knowledge-driven clinical care. We participate in national and international research and are leaders in research on supportive care and quality of life for children with cancer and bleeding disorders.

Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical research and clinical care. Responsibilities include primarily oncology care, although hematology coverage may be required for weekend call.
