Job Description
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, and implementing cost control measures to keep projects on track financially.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for projects and company operations, providing clear insights to senior leadership.
- Manage cash flow needs to support projects, maintain liquidity, and oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payment and collections.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, establish internal controls, and prepare for audits as necessary.
- Lead the finance team and coordinate with project and leadership teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and contributing to financial strategy discussions.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a background in construction or project-based financial management highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction financials, including job costing, contract management, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in financial software and construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint), along with advanced skills in Excel.
