Development Manager, Edward Hospital Foundation
The Development Manager works in conjunction with the Executive Director to ensure the continued success and growth of the organization's development program. The Development Manager is responsible for development, implementation and management of activities for the organization including annual fund/campaign (direct mail, e-mail and social media); donor acknowledgement and correspondence; all written materials related to the Foundation (web page content, brochures, newsletters, campaign materials, event programs, annual report, etc.); and grant writing and research.

- Position: Development Manager
- Location: Edward Hospital (Naperville, IL)
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, during normal business hours
- Required Travel: local travel may be required
What you will do:
- Designs, implements, monitors and evaluates a comprehensive direct-mail program, including strategies to incorporate and segment groups, e-campaigns, giving societies, focus on donor acquisition and increasing average gift amounts.
- Coordinates with hospital information systems and Marketing Department to identify and segment audiences for each appeal to produce mailing lists.
- Researches and identifies grant opportunities for the initiation of new programs or support and continuation of existing services and programs.
- Develops case statements and proposals for funding, ensuring that information, figures, style and format are letter perfect.
- Writes, prepares and submits innovative and competitive LOIs (Letters of Inquiry), grant proposals and other documentation as required by the funding source.
- Writes and coordinates content for presentations, annual report, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets and other materials as necessary to support fundraising efforts.
What you will need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree - communications, marketing or a related field preferred
- Certification: n/a
- Experience: 5+ experience in fundraising. Healthcare fundraising, prospect research, grant writing, and special events experience, preferred
- Unique or Preferred Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Raiser's Edge or other development software
