Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera's patient-focused settings. Position Highlights: * Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1! * Options for Free Health Insurance! * Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department. * Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult. * Avera St. Mary's Named Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals Job Summary * The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is accountable for treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and RN while treating patients in Cardiac Rehab. * The department in which the PTA works on any given day is at the discretion of the department leadership, based on staffing and patient volumes. Education and/or Experience * Associates Degree-Physical Therapist Assistant is required. * 1-2 years of experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration * South Dakota PTA license through the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners * Basic Life Support certification within the first 3 months of start date. Work Schedule * Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks * 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
