Claims Support Assistant

The Claims Support Administrator is responsible for supporting the claims team by efficiently managing and coordinating various administrative tasks. This role ensures the smooth and timely assignment, processing, and handling of claims, including catastrophe (CAT) claims. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, particularly during high-volume CAT events. This is a hybrid position with in-person in the Madison office 2-3 days per week. Responsibilities: • Review and manually assign claims not automatically assigned by the system, ensuring timely assignment to appropriate adjusters. • During high-volume CAT-events, assign claims to Independent Adjusters (IA) through XactAnalysis and assign finalized IA claims to in-house adjusters. • Monitor workflows in XactAnalysis and other claims systems, ensuring claims progress efficiently and meet company standards. • Regularly check and manage a shared Claims inbox for agent and customer inquiries, responding promptly to address all inquiries. • Support auto, property, casualty, and worker’s compensation claims processing by assisting with administrative tasks, including running reports, preparing documentation, and working with third-party vendors. • Provide backup support by handling customer calls, completing claim setup, assisting with customer inquiries, and updating reinsurers. • Coordinate with vendors to record claim recoveries and reimburse insured deductibles. • Review, process, and pay vendors in accordance with Company policies. • Perform data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, and other databases. • Complete additional projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus. • Previous experience in a claims or insurance role is preferred. • Familiarity with CAT claims and XactAnalysis is preferred. • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficiency in general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Learns Quickly and can utilize claims management systems and other claims software tools to assist in claims workflow. Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000/yr based on experience paid on hourly basis

Compensation:
$45,000-$50,000 per year
