Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist for the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinics with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Cleveland Clinic Akron General.   

The department provides service lines in Outpatient Adult Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Interventional and Addiction Psychiatry in an exciting and progressive academic setting. The Interventional Psychiatry Service includes ECT, TMS and is starting a Ketamine Service, and is part of the Psychiatric Treatment Resistant Disorder Program (PTRP) advancing excellence in clinical practices. The department also supports a Department of Psychology with a fellowship in Clinical Psychology. 

The candidate should preferably be prepared to become a faculty member of the teaching staff with teaching affiliations at OUHCOM and NEOMED.   Duties will include precepting psychiatric residents in the newly founded Psychiatry Residency Program, graduating its inaugural class in July 2025 and carrying 16 available positions.  

The candidate will take night calls approximately once in seven days, rotate on weekends on the inpatient and consult services on approximately one in 5 to 6 weekends the frequency is determined by staffing numbers.  On duty services will include precepting residents and medical students with ample multidisciplinary staff support. 

Candidates may choose an appointment through the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute (NI) with an academic appointment through the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) or through Partners Physician Group (PPG) at Cleveland Clinic Akron General (CCAG).
