The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Cleveland Clinic is currently recruiting various Board Certified / Eligible Adult Psychiatrists as part of its outpatient service line expansion. The primary focus of growth will be in Cleveland Clinic ambulatory clinics located in our regional sites and in dynamic internal medicine, family medicine, and neurological practices. Expertise in ADD/ADHD, treatment resistant mood disorders, and advanced therapeutics are highly sought out qualifications.
The Outpatient Psychiatry service line is well integrated in the mission and strategy of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology and that of the Neurological Institute, in which it resides.
The Department consists of 43 psychiatrists, 20 psychologists, 39 APPs, and 18 LISWs, which collectively see 88,000 outpatients per year at various locations in the Cleveland Clinic Health System. In addition, we have 200 inpatient psychiatric beds, a growing psychiatric treatment resistant program, advanced therapeutics such as ECT, TMS, and ketamine, and various mood disorder and chemical dependency intensive outpatient programs.
The Department has a strong teaching and academic mission, with an Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, a Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship, and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. In addition, the Department is a training site for the Cleveland City-Wide Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship, as well as a core psychiatry clerkship rotation for both the CCLCM and CWRU medical students.
Academic and research opportunities exist within advanced therapeutics and psychedelic trials. Ample teaching opportunities exist that can enhance the candidates experience, while working in a collaborative and collegial environment of physicians, psychologists, nurses, advanced practice practitioners, and therapists. Weekend obligatory call is 1 in 8 weekends in the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
