Job Title: Assembler Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role involves gasketing sheet metal plates, using hand and power tools, and working in collaboration with a partner. You will be trained to operate a stacker machine and expected to gasket up to 400 plates per shift. This position requires repetitive lifting and working with various tools to assemble heat exchangers. Responsibilities Gasket sheet metal plates using a tape gun to hold units together. Work with a partner to gasket each plate. Build up to gasketing 400 plates per shift. Train on the stacker machine, involving repetitive lifting overhead. Assemble sub-components and finished products using hand tools and power tools. Operate hand and power tools and overhead cranes to build heat exchangers. Fit and assemble metal products according to assembly diagrams and schematics. Work in a fast-paced production environment, lifting up to 60lbs and performing tasks such as climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods. Essential Skills Experience with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams and schematics. Comfortable with repetitive lifting and physical tasks. Basic mechanical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required upon permanent conversion (Company offers a GED program). Ability to lift 50lbs+ independently. Capable of standing, walking, sitting, and reaching for extended periods. Experience with operating overhead cranes is a plus. Why Work Here? The manufacturing floor is clean, organized, and labeled for efficient workflow. Employees may be required to work overtime, including Saturdays. The facility is well-maintained and provides a comfortable working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
