About Your Work

The Chief of Staff for the Chief Executive Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive office and supporting the CEO in various strategic and operational tasks. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the CEO can focus on high-level strategic decisions while the Chief of Staff handles the day-to-day operations and coordination.

You will focus on:
  • Strategic Planning: Assist the CEO in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and business plans.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage critical projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the company's goals.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the CEO and other departments, ensuring efficient communication and information flow.
  • Scheduling: Manage the CEO's calendar, including scheduling meetings, planning travel, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Advisory Role: Provide recommendations and consultation to department leaders to improve teamwork and operational efficiency.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, take notes, and follow up on action items from meetings.
  • Representation: Represent the CEO in meetings, by email, and phone calls with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Draft letters, emails, reports, and other correspondence on behalf of the CEO.

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field required.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-level administrative or strategic position.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Altais values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
