About Your Work

Join our multi-talented, high performing analytics team as a Business Intelligence Analyst III where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Quality team in improving quality performance across our network. Your role will involve analyzing and interpreting complex quality data that will encompass HEDIS, CMS Star Rating, and health plan quality performance reporting. Your work will lead the development of insights that support data-driven decision-making.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst III, you'll work closely with our Healthcare Analytics team and our Quality team, among additional teams across the organization. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for promoting health and wellness.

In this role, you will focus on:
  • Conducting independent analysis of high complexity under moderate supervision and guidance, develop novel analyses and reports.
  • Develop documentation and create and execute workplans for analyses of high complexity.
  • Produce analysis of high complexity under the guidance of Clinical Quality team.
  • Design, build, and enhance data systems and applications so that they better serve specific reporting requirements.
  • Identify business risks relating to report design and production.
  • Collect data from various internal systems (example Claims processing or membership systems) and external systems (EMR / EHR /Quality platforms) and converts those data to actionable insights to guide business decision making for Altais populations' health management and quality of care.
  • Produce monthly provider and/or employer group specific reports based on HEDIS measures in alignment with reporting quality ratings systems such as NCQA Stars/ Accreditation, Medicare Stars, Medi-Cal Managed Care Accountability Sets, Quality Transformation Initiative and Quality Rating System.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Detail-oriented, high attention to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query and BI tools is strongly preferred including SQL and Power BI.
  • The ability to manipulate large disparate sets of data.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding multiple data sources and formats and utilizing multiple data systems to analyze HEDIS results.
  • Ability to articulate complex HEDIS measures.

Altais values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
