This engineer will be responsible for system level electrical architecture and design of sensing systems from early concept prototyping to system architecture and physical implementation.

We are ready to help you help us grow.DescriptionIn this role you will partner with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, controls, AIML, and embedded FW engineers to realize sensor system designs.
Responsibilities include:
Drive system level sensor specification definition
Electrical system architecture and tradeoff analysis
Electrical design, including flexes and PCBAs
Prototype, evaluate, develop, and harden designs
Close collaboration with cross-functional teamsMinimum QualificationsBS. or MS in electrical engineering or similar field5+ years of hands-on electrical and sensor system design experience, including touch, magnetic, and optical based sensingExperience selecting and integrating electronics and sensors in novel architecturesStrong electrical engineering analytical skillsExperience developing system architecture, sensor systems analysis, and modeling.Strong fundamentals in sensors and the impact of impairments on sensor performance.Exceptional HW/SW problem solving skillsDetail oriented and capable of handling multiple assignments at oncePreferred QualificationsPhD in electrical engineering or similar fieldExperience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring upLarge scale data analysis and knowledge of statistical techniquesStrong communication, documentation and presentation skillsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
