Our products go through a validation phase, where we answer the question: “What is the business problem we are trying to solve”, and together with your product/design/UX/business counterparts, you'll be responsible for narrowing the scope, defining a solution, and working with your team to solve it.We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Staff Software Engineer for our US Eletric business unit This position can be located in Waltham, MA, Brooklyn, NY, Hicksville, NY, or Syracuse, NY (candidates may also reside in either Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). Key responsibilities include the following:Hands-on contributions with code developmentGain visibility and recognition across the organization for technical competence and leadershipLead the architectural design of complex systemsWrite well-designed, testable, scalable, and efficient codeProvide contributions to the engineering organizationProvide leadership for the integration of software components into a fully functional software systemCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders on the development of digital productsContribute to IT standards, procedures, and processProvide support and mentorship to the engineering teamCollaborate with teams on other products and business units on technologyAbout you8+ years of experience in software development as a developer Ability to collaborate with cross functional teamsHands on technical experience with React, TypeScript, .Net Core, PostgreSQL, Azure, GitHubSeveral years of technical contribution and leadership in a structured team environmentAbility to mentor other engineersAbility to give constructive criticismAbility to make decisions quicklyAbility to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiencesStrong knowledge of the agile software development processPractical experience in building and using RESTful APIsSolid communication and documentation skillsMore InformationAre you the right fit for this exciting role?
