About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Finance to join its mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and leading the financial strategy to ensure the organization's financial health, sustainability, and growth. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical accounting background, expertise in financial planning and analysis, and a proven track record in change management. The VP for Finance will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, and investment priorities, and will be a key liaison to the Board's Finance Committee. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a CPA or public accounting experience, and at least 7 years in a senior financial leadership position, preferably within a non-profit with a budget of $10M or more. The role demands a leader who can provide both tactical and strategic financial input, foster collaboration and accountability in budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The VP for Finance will also be involved in organizational effectiveness, driving strategic objectives, and managing staff to support the financial functions. Strong communication skills, an executive presence, and the ability to work with a diverse team are essential. The position is mostly remote, with occasional in-person requirements, and the company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in its hiring process.
