We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior Consumables Engineerto join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies. We are aglobal technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believethe combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated deviceswill change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future,enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better accessto care.

As a Senior Consumables Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Leading thedesign and development of consumable devices for the next generation product.
  • Participating in hands-on activities including prototyping, and engineering testing.
  • Participating in generation of new concepts.
  • Project management responsibilities including vendor and supplier management, developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
  • Working with manufacturing in the development and execution of the manufacturing processes for the initial product builds.
  • Managing the packaging development and testing.

This position may suit you best if you are familiarwith what is below, and would like to do develop your career withHealthineers:
  • Experience in designing plastic injection molded parts required
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks modeling required
  • Experience with DFMA and DTC is required
  • Experience with high-volume consumable manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience with plastic fabrication processes such as heat staking, heat sealing, ultrasonic welding, and insertion is preferred
  • Experience with packaging development and testing, sterilization process development, and biocompatibility testing preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Experience managing external resources preferred
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Ability to travel up to 10% is required

Required skills to have for the success of this role:
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering required, MS preferred
  • 7 yrs experience in a product development role required, medical device experience or other regulated industry highly preferred
