Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Cardiothoracic Surgery locums coverage Rates: $4000/day Position Details: * Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery * Start Date: November 4, 2024 * Schedule: Part-time; typically 2 long weekends per month (Thursday-Monday) with additional coverage during holidays and PTO. * Shift Requirements: Provider will cover from Thursday 7am to Monday 7am (consecutive days). * Call Requirements: Minimal calls on inpatients and admissions, rare urgent surgeries needed overnight. Must be within 30-minute response time (hotel stay provided nearby). * On Call: Yes, 24-hour call with in-house rounding and surgical cases. * Rounding: Includes inpatients, cases, and clinic duties (clinic and TAVR on Wednesdays). * Average Admissions While On Call: 2 * EMR: EPIC & Cerner Practice Information: * Cases Seen: Bread and butter cardiac surgeries such as CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting), AVR (Aortic Valve Replacement), MVR (Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement). * Support: No APP coverage on weekends, and OR staff is on-call only. * Patient Mix: 100% adult cases.
