Surgery - Podiatric Medicine Physician

Locums - St. Paul, Minnesota, Surgical Podiatry Physician Openings Clinical Role: * * Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees! * ASAP for 5-6 Months * They are looking for someone to cover 24hr call which will be for both sites on the same day * They are looking for coverage Mon 6a-Fri 5p every other week starting as soon as December and will look at minimum 1 week availability a month. A day could consist of Clinic/Rounding/OR while being on call. Clinic is not every day. Surg Podiatrists will be able to interview with team during presentation to get a better feel for day to day * Specialty: Surgical Podiatry * EMR system: EPIC * Reason for Coverage: Retirement 12/6 * FTE or shifts per month needed: .5 - 1 * Inpatient and Outpatient * Locums Shift Schedule: Coverage needed every other week. Weekday call 6a Mon to 5pm Fri; Day could consist of some clinic/OR time; Will be covering 24hr call both sites each day and travel to and from (30 min drive); can respond to patients' mid-day or end of workday * Type of patients / cases / procedures required: Adults; Wound Care experience preferred * Patient Encounters per shift: 24 PPD if covering in clinic; 3 consults per day while being on call ; variable post/op rounding * Available support staff: Hospitalist works 4 hours a few days a week; in clinic (case manager, surg schedulers, nurse triage) ; Solo while working in Hospital * Certifications required: Board certified or eligible with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery OR American Board of Podiatric Medicine; Surgery experience required; BLS/ATLS * Vaccination Requirements: COVID and Flu req. Religious and Medical exemption is accepted * Minimum candidate commitment to consider: Min 1 week a month * Ideal Candidate Description: Experience partnering with Vascular Surgery * Miscellaneous: The Podiatrists have 4-24hrs to respond depending on how urgent the case is. Routine calls after 7pm-8pm are responded the next day. Podiatrists will not get called middle of the night.
