Signal Integrity Specialist

Rohde & Schwarz develops, produces and markets innovative products for test and measurement, broadcast and media, cybersecurity, secure communications and monitoring and network testing areas.
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Signal Integrity R&D Engineer to develop models and simulations for test fixture de-embedding for high-speed digital and RF applications. You will work on projects for both frequency and time domain fixture de-embedding software applications supporting Vector Network Analyzer and Time Domain Reflectometry measurements. The ideal candidate will reside near our Hillsboro, Oregon office or be willing to relocate with the support of relocation assistance. The candidate will join a global team of experienced hardware and software engineers focusing on the development of a portfolio of measurement solutions to address the challenges in high-speed digital test applications.
Your tasks
Design state-of-the art algorithms and methods that address Signal Integrity measurement solutions such as De-embedding, Material Property Extraction and Measurement Workflows.Drive software implementation of rapid prototypes.Act as primary stakeholder for our network analysis application development team. This will include functional reviews and end user tests of software implementations.Work with our international product planning team to create clear requirements for our software development team to define the next generation of Signal Integrity measurement solutions.Work with application engineers and sales representatives to support customers.Travel domestically and internationally for R&S collaboration as well as customer visits.
Your qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentProven expertise with a focus on algorithms and methodologies, ideally related to Signal IntegrityBasic knowledge of software engineering principles (Software Development Lifecycle, Revision Control, Test Strategies)Experience creating Signal Integrity software models related to test fixture de-embeddingAbility to capture algorithm prototypes in Matlab and PythonProactive working style with an open, creative mindset and excellent problem-solving skillsWorks well with domestic and internationally distributed teamsWillingness and ability to travel 10% of the time for collaboration with engineering and product management teams in Munich and around the worldStrong written and verbal English communication skillsWillingness to interact with customers and industry expertsKnowledge of customer needs in the Signal Integrity space would be a bonusTo be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.

We are looking forward to receiving your application! The total compensation for this position is $140K-$190K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
