DescriptionRobert Half is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager for their Austin based client to oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, system security, and the integration of technology solutions that support business objectives. The IT Manager will lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement technology strategies. The ideal candidate will be both technically proficient and a strong leader, with a deep understanding of IT systems, network management, cybersecurity, and project management.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the company’s IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and databases, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and optimized for business use.Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training, guidance, and professional development opportunities.Plan, implement, and manage IT-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the company’s strategic goals. This includes system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure improvements.Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect sensitive company data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents as needed.Manage relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service agreements, ensuring optimal service delivery and cost-efficiency.Oversee IT support functions, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.Collaborate with senior management to develop IT strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. Recommend and implement new technologies that improve operational efficiency and enhance business performance.Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with business needs and financial goals. Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality service and performance.Ensure IT systems are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans to minimize operational risks.Provide regular reports on IT performance, security status, and project progress to senior leadership. Use data-driven insights to improve IT processes and outcomes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.5+ years of experience in IT management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing IT teams, projects, and budgets.Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems, server management, databases, cloud computing, and IT security. Familiarity with virtualization, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity.Excellent team management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or other relevant certifications are a plus.Job typePerm
