About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Accounting to work closely with the CFO in overseeing all accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial and operational reports in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role involves providing accounting guidance, maintaining a strong control environment, and driving initiatives to enhance productivity, simplify processes, and reduce costs through automation and standardization. The VP, Accounting will also lead the month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, direct tax strategy, and support planning and budgeting activities. Applicants for the VP, Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a Master's degree or MBA preferred. A CPA certification is required, along with at least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years' in a leadership role. The role demands a strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in accounting, as well as proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and demonstrate excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal abilities. The ability to influence change and a commitment to continuous process improvement are also essential.
