Position Summary
The mission of our Performance Content team is to serve our consumer audiences the most relevant, engaging, business results driving creative and content possible. Our unique approach to developing Performance Content is to attract engagement and move the customer along their path to purchase. Our aim to produce content that moves with the customer along their journey, adapts to the medium it operates in and immerses the customer by connecting emotionally. The VP, Group Director of Performance Content at Mediabrands Content Studio will ensure that client's business needs are met with MBCS performance content products, services, and capabilities, which include but are not limited to personalized/addressable content, dynamic creative optimization, omnichannel content production, content audits/analytics, e-commerce, web, social media. We also have expertise in all tools necessary to execute. The VP will establish and lead operational excellence and give clients and cross-channel teams a user-friendly experience to help drive growth of performance content offerings and manage seamlessly with the activation teams. This Vice President of Performance Content will directly lead a multi-disciplinary team of performance content specialists across Strategy, Creative, Production and Technology, as well as a wide range of inter-agency and integrated teams, tech partners, and creative AORs. They should be comfortable managing multi-disciplinary team leads across the agency. The right candidate must have a solid understanding of the performance media landscape, know how to translate consumer insights into actionable targeting and creative strategies, be comfortable managing multiple disciplines at once and be comfortable in client communication and presentation.

Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation and growth of MBCS' content products and capabilities by having strong understanding of client needs.
- Manage and maintain the product, commercial and financial health your portfolio of clients.
- Lead team that provides content performance metrics on all channels to identify insights and optimize the platform's ongoing content streams.
- Lead collaborations with editorial and cross-functional creative teammates to brainstorm and execute on brand campaign ideas and content strategies that deepen engagement with audiences.
- Manage the research and findings of industry styles, standards, and approaches to content that is innovative, original, or data-driven to educate and energize our talented team of marketers.
- Understand and educate teams on audience research and performance data and hone your content marketing skills accordingly.
- Maintain understanding of client media planning and ways of working for more effective performance content product adoption and growth.
- Ensure there is efficient cross-team communication to meet client business needs and expectations.
- Manage teams in development of best practices for content creation including capabilities, tools and data.
- Manage and prepare internal and client-facing POVs, Product 101s, estimates, updates and recaps.
- Build teams, processes and solutions which can help steward process for operational excellence.
- Drive maintenance of tools that allow for the best user experience of MBCS services.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong performance or precision media background in either digital content or performance media planning (12+ years of experience)
- Proven ability to manage cross-team work and build relationships across agencies and clients
- Ability to explain complex subjects in a way less experienced people will understand
- Demonstration of personal accountability and self-discipline to drive work forward
- An eye for creative and how to drive performance
- Creative problem solver and strong communicator
- Bachelor's Degree
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience working in content management platforms
- Keen sense of data landscape and various ways to drive personalization in creative
- Steward of social media creative best practices
- Knowledge of vast video (linear, CTV, YouTube, Programmatic, etc.) landscape and creative formats available
- Basic understanding of ways AI can be applied to marketing in general, DCO in particular
