Overview
We are looking for a proficient and experienced Network Administrator to join our internal Information Technology (IT) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the reliability and security of our network systems. The ideal candidate should have a recent Cisco CCNA certification and a solid understanding of Active Directory, Office 365/Entra, and various networking technologies. This position will be a hybrid role with an in-office presence in our San Jose office.

The hourly pay range for this position is $35.00 - 50.00. Please note this position is non-exempt and therefore eligible for overtime, which will be paid in addition to the published base salary range.

Responsibilities
Network Administration:
- Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and Palo Alto CloudGenix SD-WAN solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
- Configure and manage DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols to ensure optimal network performance.
User and Vendor Support:
- Provide responsive technical support to end users, resolving issues through a support ticketing system.
- Collaborate with vendors during calls to address and resolve network-related issues.
Active Directory and Office 365 Management:
- Administer Active Directory/O365 Entra, including user and group management, and enforce group policy configurations.
- Manage Microsoft SSO, Conditional Access policies, and Azure networking components to support secure access.
Monitoring and Alert Response:
- Continuously monitor network performance using tools like LogicMonitor, responding promptly to infrastructure alerts.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent network downtime and ensure system reliability.
Documentation and Change Management:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed network diagrams and change requests.
- Track and manage issue logs related to network modifications and updates.
Email Administration:
- Handle basic email administration tasks, including the management of inbound and outbound mailbox configurations.
UPS Management:
- Familiarity with UPS systems for ensuring uninterrupted power supply to network devices.
- Monitoring, procuring and performing battery and/or chassis replacements
Remote Access:
- Experience with remote access solutions, such as Zscaler, Cato Networks, Global Project, or Microsoft Related Remote Access solutions.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- A recent Cisco CCNA certification is required.
- Microsoft Certifications are preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, with a focus on network management.
- Hands-on experience with support ticketing systems and end-user interaction.
- Proficiency in networking technologies, including Cisco routers, switches, and SD-WAN.
- Experience in administering Active Directory, Office 365, and network monitoring tools.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in networking and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in creating documentation and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
