About The Function

Human Resources Director

Location: Wayne, PA - Hybrid work environment

Our client is a boutique financial services firm specializing in bonds for licensing and permitting who serves both large publicly and privately held companies. They are a very large independent broker and are committed to providing extraordinary surety solutions. They are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director who will be a key member of the Human Resources Department and will report directly to the President.

Summary:

The HR Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function. With a strong focus on recruitment, the HR Director will develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies, ensure compliance with employment laws, and drive initiatives to promote a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives to enhance company performance.
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring timely and cost-effective hiring.
  • Work with marketing to develop employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice.
Employee Relations and Retention
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Performance Management
  • Develop and oversee performance management systems that support the growth and development of employees.
  • Provide guidance on setting performance standards and conducting performance reviews.
  • Implement training and development programs to support employee growth.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Work with an outside broker to design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Regularly review and update compensation structures to remain competitive.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
HR Metrics and Reporting
  • Develop and track HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on HR-related metrics and trends.
  • Use data to drive HR strategies and improve organizational performance.
HR Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the HR team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork within the HR department.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience with a family-owned, professional services or partnership company which has an employee count exceeding 50 employees, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
