- Position Overview
- The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This position oversees the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to senior management and provides guidance on all HR-related matters
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's overall objectives. Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure the right talent is in place to meet current and future business needs.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention: Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Develop strategies to attract top talent and implement initiatives to improve employee retention.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including metrics for setting performance goals, conducting regular evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to employees. Develop strategies to enhance employee performance and productivity.
- Employee Relations: Oversee employee relations compliance and maintain integrity in the complaint and resolution process. Promote a positive work environment and employee morale.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Identify training needs and coordinate training initiatives to address skill gaps and support career development.
- Compensation and Benefits: Ensure Strategic Alignment with the organization's compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, bonus plans, and employee benefits. Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- HR Compliance: Oversee Compliance Manager with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Stay abreast of changes in legislation and proactively implement measures to ensure compliance.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain HR metrics to track key performance indicators such as employee turnover, recruitment metrics, and training effectiveness. Prepare regular reports for senior management to provide insights into HR performance and trends
- HR Technology and Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other HR technology solutions. Leverage technology to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate HR initiatives into actionable plans. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior management. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. Salary range is $125K - $145K BOE. Incentive Bonus Compensation up to $25,000
