About the Role
The Company is seeking an inaugural Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the strategic development and implementation of inclusive organizational practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, change management, and cultural redirection that aligns with the institution's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role is pivotal in overseeing the creation and sustaining of programs to attract and retain top talent, as well as building the company's reputation as an innovative and inclusive employer of choice. The CHRO will also be a key partner to the president and leadership team on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the Chief Human Resources Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a human resources-related leadership role, with a preference for those holding a Master's or terminal degree and HR certification. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in HR, including expertise in employee and labor relations, recruitment and retention strategies, compensation design, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in advancing equity-focused HR processes and initiatives and will be adept at using data to inform decision-making. Experience in a unionized higher education environment is a plus.
