SiemensHealthineers Company, Endovascular Robotics (EVR) division, is a globaltechnology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. The company'sCorPath® system is the first FDA-cleared medical device to bringrobotic-assisted precision to neurovascular, percutaneous coronary andperipheral interventions. EVR is advancing the field of interventional medicinewith robotics through improvements to procedural control, precision, andworkflow.
Your Role:
Leading theMechatronics Team, mechatronics activities and development of new products frominception to commercialization. You will provide management, leadership, technicaland project management experience to support development of medical robots. Youare highly proficient with current development tools, practices, processes andexperienced in system integration. You are highly experienced in mechatronicsdesign, including designing and/or selecting sensors and actuators, motionsystems, servo-systems modeling, analysis, and implementation.
Idealcandidates have prior management experience including hiring, coaching,training and building high-performing teams and have designed, implemented, andlaunched complex electro-mechanical or medical robotic systems comprised ofelectronics hardware and real-time control software for a medical roboticstechnology platform.
This is acollaborative opportunity where the individual will work with other engineeringdisciplines, product management, quality assurance, and manufacturing.

• Team Leadership:
o Hire, lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechatronics engineers,providing guidance, support, and professional development to ensure highperformance and innovation.
o Drive continuous improvement and innovation in mechatronicstechnologies and methodologies. Stay current with industry trends and emergingtechnologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of medicalrobotics.
• Design and Development:
o Direct the design and development of mechatronics systems,including the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and are optimized for performance,reliability, and safety.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams including roboticsengineers, software developers, and clinical experts to integrate mechatronicssolutions into medical robotic systems.
o Implement and oversee testing and validation processes to ensurethe reliability and accuracy of mechatronics systems. Address and resolve anyissues related to system performance or safety.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the abilityto address complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
o Utilizes best practice implementationin model-based design methodologies, development processes and tools.
o Lead/contribute to the definition of design inputs, requirements, riskmanagement (e.g., dFMEA), creating design descriptions and specifications,authoring testing protocols, conduct and/or oversee testing, and issueresolution.
o Ensure thorough documentation of design specifications, testingprotocols, and development processes. Maintain accurate records for complianceand future reference.

• Technical Expertise:
o Strong knowledge of mechatronics principles, including mechanicaldesign, control systems, electronics, and robotics. Proficiency in CAD and simulationtools, and programming languages relevant to mechatronics.
o Deep knowledge of medical device regulations, standards, andquality assurance processes (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is required.
• Project Management:
o Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechatronicsprojects. Develop project timelines in conjunction with Program Management,allocate resources, coordinate meetings, and ensure adherence to projectmilestones and budgets.
Requirements:
• MSc. degree in mechatronics, robotics, electrical,or mechanical engineering is required. PhD is preferred.
• Minimum 12 yrs. experience in the product development role, with atleast seven years in medical device development, or other regulated industry, andat least four years people management experience required.
• Experience in the design, development, and analyses of robotic systems required.Strong analytical skills in mechatronics and electromechanical domain arerequired.
• Proficiency with the latest mechanical CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), andthe simulation tools are required.
• Proficiency in sensors, actuators (performance appraisal,down-selection, etc.), cabling, motion systems, servo-systems modeling,analysis, and implementation required.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink(Real Time)/Simscape, and LabVIEW isrequired
• Proficiency in tools such as: FEA, and Minitab is highly desired
• Experience with real-time application programing and RTOS for productsis highly desired
• Strong communication and leadership skills required
• Ability to travel up to 10% is required
