The company has more than 60 locations through which it distributes products, equipment and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education.
Manage inside, outside, and counter sales personnel
Work in tandem with outside reps making calls on key accounts
Monitor inside reps on number and quality of outgoing calls
Set up training with key manufacturers for all sales reps and counter sales
Oversee systems training to assure all reps can access all information needed
Become proficient with the Customer Relationship Management program and monitor each sales rep's customer list to assist in growing sales.
Monitor T&E budgets for sales reps
Inspect all expense reimbursement forms for approval
Create key initiatives for each rep in each territory to continue sales growth
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Work experience should include a minimum of 5 years in sales; prior industry experience in Janitorial/Commercial Cleaning Products is preferred.
Candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced sales environment.
Must have valid driver's license.
Ability to travel within territory.
Must be focused and organized and have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong time management and self-management skills;
Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques;
Working knowledge of the Internet and MS Office tools.
Qualifications/ Skills
Manages professional sales associates. Is accountable for the performance and results of a team. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager. Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues and/or customers. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas. Integrates industry best practices in own area to the achieve of objectives. Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges. Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems. Impacts the level of service and the team's ability to meet quality, volume and timeliness of objectives. Guided by department policies, resource requirements, budgets and the business plan. Guides, influences and persuades others internally and/or externally.
