As a Head of People Operations, you will be an integral part of our team, driving the full cycle of hiring and onboarding while overseeing essential HR functions and managing the Denver office. Your role will ensure a seamless employee experience from recruitment through integration, support our leadership in strategic HR initiatives, and maintain an organized, productive office environment.

Responsibilities:
- Hiring and Recruitment Oversight: Lead the hiring process from initial phone screens to offer letters, collaborating with team leads to align recruitment strategies with company goals.
- Onboarding and Employee Integration: In tandem with leadership, develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs, ensuring new employees are equipped for success and seamlessly integrated into our culture.
- HR Management and Compliance: Maintain and implement HR policies, handle benefits administration, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, promote engagement initiatives, and support performance management processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance HR and office management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- General Office Management: Oversee daily operations of our Denver office, including supply management, facilities coordination, and office event planning to foster a welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4-5 years in HR, people operations, or a related field, with significant experience in candidate pipeline management preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of HR policies and best practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with HR software and office management tools.
- Preferred: HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) and experience in employee engagement initiatives.
Location:
- Must be based in the Denver Metro Area with the ability to work on-site at our office a few times per week

Interview Process:
- Initial Screen: 30-minute Zoom interview with Chief of Staff
- Team Interview: 30-minute conversation with two members of the Leadership Team
- Practical Assessment: Short take-home HR scenario-based exercise
- Discussion & Presentation: 60-minute follow-up to discuss the exercise and additional interview questions with members of the Leadership Team
- Final Round: 30-minute meeting with HarperDB Co-Founders
