Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The Company is seeking an experienced Director & Financial Controller to join its team. The Director & Financial Controller will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and indirectly to Protos' Vice President & Corporate Controller and will be responsible for the daily operations of the Accounting department and for building the team.

Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The Company is seeking an experienced Director & Financial Controller to join its team. The Director & Financial Controller will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and indirectly to Protos' Vice President & Corporate Controller and will be responsible for the daily operations of the Accounting department and for building the team.
The core responsibilities include:
- Oversight of day-to-day Accounting Operations, including an 11-person team.
- Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing with a focus on collections and collaboration with customers and other departments.
- Oversight of the Payroll function, ensuring compliance across various states, and performing detailed reviews of weekly payroll and reconciliations.
- Leading the monthly close process to meet deadlines.
- Preparing account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
- Overseeing expense reporting.
- Performing analytic reviews of financial results.
- Maintaining General Ledger and other financial reporting systems/processes.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the team.
- Establishing and maintaining a high level of internal controls.
- Assisting with budget preparation and analysis.
- Developing and maintaining accurate cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
- Managing tax issues, including compliance and audits.
- Handling special projects and ad hoc requests.
- Coordinating and managing the annual audit process.
- Supporting and developing the accounting team.
- Domestic travel to subsidiaries, conferences, and meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA is a plus.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Service industry experience (Guarding industry a plus).
- Strong billing and collections background.
- Experience with private equity-backed portfolio companies preferred.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct, ADP Workforce Now, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 annually (commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications).
