Firetruck Mechanical Assembler

Description: Candidate will be using blueprints/schematics and tools to build/assemble large pumps that go in firetrucks. The candidate will have to document and defective products on logs. They may need to use hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly and test fixtures, measuring and testing instruments, hand trucks, cranes, hoists. Skills: Hand tool, Blueprint, Mechanical, Assembly, Power tool, Schematic, Installation, Pneumatics, Mechanical assembly, production, measuring tape, tools Top Skills Details: Hand tool,Blueprint,Mechanical,Assembly,Power tool,Schematic,Installation,Pneumatics,Mechanical assembly Additional Skills & Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude Cranes hoists presses Perform basic assembly, fitting and wiring as necessary to build a wide range of sub-assemblies and finished product. • Build to detailed procedures, cross sections or from general instructions and acceptable mechanical practices. • Able to repair and troubleshoot when required. • Capable of using sound mechanical judgment to independently install components with limited instruction. • Use of a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tooling and equipment. • Able to read and understand torque values and procedures. • Report supply needs in a timely manner assuring required supply levels are maintained. • Report any safety and maintenance needs to supervisor. • Install components required to inspect products. This involves operations such as connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting for proper clearance using any tools required to attain alignment, fits, clearances and specifications as required. • Remove test components from all types of pumps as required. Transport products and other equipment to designated work area. • Must display an attention to detail attitude. Detect and correct errors. Make repairs and adjustments as required to pass inspection. • Clean and make minor repairs to assembly equipment. Store and place in proper locations all items required to assure the assembly area is free of accumulated clutter, clean, and is in orderly condition.
