Find your future with us.Job SummaryAs a Ground & Mission Control Software Developer, you will support Millennium’s in-house ground software and mission control systems as well as external COTS products used across the industry. You will provide a crucial interface between the mission stakeholders and the Flight Software component, and ultimately the Space Vehicle itself. You will design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver complete software and hardware solutions to a variety of customers to be installed both at Millennium’s factory and at customer-owned and operated sites. You will support proposal development efforts to win new business. You will be involved with the ground development process from the start of the contract, going through design reviews, and leading up to the day of launch. After launch, you will sustain your systems throughout the life of the program, ensuring our products continue to deliver mission success.This position's internal job code is SWE-Developer. Our team is currently hiring for a Level 3.ResponsibilitiesSupport the definition of requirements for ground software and systemsInteract directly with customers to ensure developed and delivered software and systems meet mission requirementsLead the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of large-scale ground software and mission control systemsInteract with other Millennium staff to support testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurationsIntegrate Millennium software applications into Government-furnished software and infrastructureExecute integrated system test events bridging Millennium-developed products and Government-furnished systemsImplement specific mission data processing applications into existing systems to support payloads and end data usersSupport ground software and systems during on-orbit activities, including launch, early operations, on-orbit test, normal operations, and end-of-life operationsSupport proposals for new ground software and systems in support of new business effortsSupport software testing and installation in classified environmentsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related fieldFive (5) or more years of experience designing and developing ground software and ground systemsDemonstrated experience writing software applications in Python, C++, and CDemonstrated experience working with relational databasesComfortable communicating technical details verbally and in writingExperience with iterative and agile software developmentThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
