Find your future with us.Job SummaryIn this role, you will apply advanced technical skills and knowledge to assess and resolve technical problems, guide program teams to successful and compliant milestone reviews and events, and bolster Millennium’s culture of technical excellence and mission assurance via mentoring, training, and knowledge capture. As a Senior Mission Assurance Engineer, you will be leading and guiding mission assurance efforts across multiple programs and mentoring other Mission Assurance Engineers. A successful candidate possesses a strong academic foundation and experience in spacecraft systems and engineering. Additionally, a successful candidate demonstrates experience using developed skills in problem solving, critical technical assessment, leadership, and communication. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise with the minimum qualifications listed below.This position’s internal job code is Systems Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for levels 4 - 5.Responsibilities• Coordinate mission assurance efforts across multiple programs• Provide subject matter expertise to one or more topics related to satellite systems• Review mission designs and coordinate with other engineers to assure mission design, test, and execution efforts• Identify technical risks and issues with products and spacecraft designs, recommend corrective actions and risk mitigations, and handle all associated internal and external technical communications with the correct parties• Harness existing tools or create new tools to solve technical problems via analysis, design, or simulation techniques that can be corroborated with testing• Evaluate qualification and acceptance test plans for requirements verification• Work and coordinate with integration, testing, and mission operations crews to review, generate, and implement anomaly training. Training will include realistic on-orbit scenario-based practice exercises to prepare mission teams to respond effectively to actual contingency scenarios• Participate in mission operations and anomaly resolution effortsMinimum Qualifications• Bachelor of Science in a relevant field (examples include Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent educational experience• Demonstrated experience in making engineering judgement calls to the benefit of the project, especially in regards to failure and/or anomaly resolution• Understanding of engineering principles of and approach to requirements and risks• Familiarity with standard engineering practices and industry standards and specifications• Strong technical problem-solving skills• Technical communication skills, both written and verbal• Exceptional time management and prioritization skill• Excellent verbal/written communication skills• Ability to navigate with ease various engineering tools, applications, and principles such as computerized control systems and testing equipment• Experience mentoring engineers in all of these aspects• This position requires that you obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Summary Pay-RangeLevel 4: $128,350 - $188,750     Level 5: $157,250 - $231,250Physical Demands of the Work EnvironmentJob duties may require periodic presence at environmental testing and clean room integration facilities.
