Job Description

NETZSCH is looking for a driven Human Resources Director to lead and manage all HR functions for a multi-entity organization with 200+ employees across six locations in North America. The position is based at the company's headquarters in Exton, PA, and will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, driving talent acquisition, retention, and development initiatives, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role plays a key part in shaping the company culture, promoting diversity and inclusion, and contributing to overall organizational success.

Key responsibilities, among others, are:
  • HR Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives across multiple business units and locations.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to support company growth and operational goals.
    • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and workplace culture.
    • Oversee the development and execution of company-wide HR policies and procedures.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:
    • Design and manage the recruitment process to attract top talent across all locations.
    • Implement retention strategies, including career development, performance management, and succession planning programs.
    • Lead the development of onboarding and training programs to ensure a smooth integration for new hires.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws across all locations, including wage and hour regulations, benefits administration, and workplace safety.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of HR documentation, including employee handbooks, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.
    • Conduct internal investigations as necessary and provide resolution strategies.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Lead the development of competitive compensation packages and benefits programs.
    • Manage benefits administration, including health, retirement, and other employee welfare programs.
    • Evaluate and recommend changes to compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Performance Management & Employee Development:
    • Oversee the performance review process and ensure it aligns with company objectives and employee growth.
    • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.
    • Develop and implement training and development programs to upskill employees and support leadership development.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI):
    • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization.
    • Develop strategies to promote an inclusive work environment, including training and awareness programs.
  • HR Data & Analytics:
    • Track, analyze, and report key HR metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
    • Utilize HRIS systems to streamline HR processes, improve efficiency, and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Multi-Site HR Management:
    • Provide HR leadership and support to all locations across North America, including regular visits and communication with site leaders.
    • Coordinate HR initiatives across locations to ensure consistency while adapting to local needs as required.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will have at least 10 years of HR leadership experience and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field. Master's degree or HR Certification and previous experience in manufacturing with multi-sites is preferred. In addition, we are looking for:
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning and execution
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of driving organizational change and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • The ability to work a hybrid (remote/in office) schedule with up to 20% travel to NETZSCH locations in the US in Canada and occasionally to global affiliates.
