We are currently seeking a Microsoft Project Master Scheduler with experience setting up and running a Microsoft Project Server environment for a multi-vendor Program.
The Master Scheduler will work closely with the State and other partner staff, acting as the trusted partner supporting the full system life cycle of projects within the program by creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and advising project teams on the creation and maintenance of individual project schedules. The Master Scheduler will oversee the scheduling process throughout the program with support from the Program Management Office. This position will report into the program PMO.
Job Responsibilities Include:
The candidate will work as a member of the Program Management Office. Working as the Integrated Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated Microsoft Project (MSP) resource-loaded schedule across multiple projects.
• Implement a cloud based MSPS environment and migrate existing IMS and Project schedules from MS Project to MSPS.
• Maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on Contract Work Breakdown Structure
• Support integration of projects using multiple SDLC methodologies into the IMS
• Support an Agile methodology Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Advise Project Management of individual projects on detailed project planning and scope development for implementation of software solutions.
• Develop, maintain and continually analyze an achievable master schedule critical path for project, program and contractual milestones
• Work with project teams to resource load individual project schedules and analyze resource allocations across the program for over and under allocations
• Prepare project and program status reports based on current and forecast schedules; implement and maintain schedule change control
• Ensure individual contracts' WBS are properly updated and current
• Conduct and facilitate weekly IMS reviews with program team
• Prepare trend analysis to identify problem areas and submit recommendations for corrective actions
• Prepare cost control, performance measurement reports, cost and schedule variance analysis reports, forecasts and studies
• Develop and maintain enterprise level custom fields and objects in Microsoft Project Server
• Perform project management functions including analyzing program oversight requirements, establishing and maintaining project schedule policies, and projecting out-year requirements
• Actively monitor project performance metrics to validate providing independent assessments of performance issues to upper management based on schedule metrics analysis
• Mentor Project Managers on scheduling best practices and industry standards
• Create and maintain a graphic representation of the Program Roadmap, within MS Project Server
• Support "what-if" schedule scenario analysis
• Develop scheduling status reports and regular schedule deliverables, which are reviewed at Program Management meetings
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years experience developing and maintaining project schedules in Microsoft Project, including experience managing resource loaded schedules
• 3+ years experience setting up, implementing and maintaining a Microsoft Project server environment and supporting an IMS using MSPS for a large multi-project program
• 5+ years experience using other office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint)
• 3+ years experience managing multiple projects and pulling together multiple schedules into a master schedule and/or interfacing with other teams managing different schedules
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or additional 4 years work experience
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with State programs, especially Medicaid
• PMP certification
• PMI_SP certification
• Experience with clients in developing their program processes relative to project scheduling
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $79,920 - $130,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
