About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial strategy and management of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, cash and investment management, and oversight of the accounting department. This role requires a collaborative leader who can work with the President/CEO and other senior staff to develop and implement the business plan in line with strategic goals. The CFO will also be tasked with maintaining effective relationships with key financial partners and ensuring the organization's financial resources are aligned with its current and future needs. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have at least 10 years' relevant finance and/or public accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years'' in a senior or executive capacity. A BA and/or MBA in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with a CPA being strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate accounting and finance, particularly in affordable multi-family housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit portfolios. The CFO must be a critical thinker, a committed leader, and have a strong work ethic with a focus on community development. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a mission-based organization and with a diverse range of cultures and work styles.
