We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Data Analyst to support our data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts. The selected candidate will assist in transforming raw data into valuable insights for various levels of government leadership. This role involves data mining, statistical modeling, simulations, and predictive analytics to support science research initiatives.

General Duties:
• Data Collection and Transformation:
o Collect, enter, review, document, inspect, clean, and transform data into usable information for various levels of government leadership.
o Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the data processing cycle.
• Data Mining and Statistical Evaluation:
o Perform data mining, data fusion, and statistical evaluations to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
o Utilize advanced statistical methods to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful information.
• Statistical Modeling and Simulations:
o Perform statistical modeling, simulations, and predictive analytics to support science research initiatives.
o Use statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) to conduct simulations and generate predictive models for scientific studies.
• Reporting and Presentations:
o Present data findings in clear, actionable formats for leadership and other stakeholders.
o Prepare reports, visualizations, and presentations that summarize key findings and recommendations.
• Collaboration and Support:
o Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify data needs and define analysis requirements.
o Provide technical support for data-related projects and assist in decision-making through data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, data mining, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and statistical modeling techniques.
o Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel functions.
o Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning techniques is a plus.
• Attention to Detail:
o Strong focus on data integrity, accuracy, and ensuring high-quality data processing.
o Ability to clean and preprocess data for analysis, identifying inconsistencies and outliers.
• Communication and Analytical Skills:
o Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.
o Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
