Bright Event Rentals is hiring an Accounting Manager for a full-time position Los Angeles, CA.

The position will start as fully on-site and transition to hybrid after the Manager is established, likely after six months.

The Accounting Manager at Bright Event Rentals will oversee all financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and adherence to company financial standards. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and leading a team to support economic health and strategic decision-making. This position requires strong financial analysis, compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaboration with other departments to drive the company's success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end close.
  • Monitor budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
  • Assign tasks and ensure completion of day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation, as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to streamline accounting procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement accounting software solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
Qualifications for Accounting Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Financial management, budgeting, and reporting software
  • Computer or Technology literate - familiarity with PC operating systems and Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software.
