The Role

Manufacturing Technicians perform drum and tote preparation, drum & tote fill, material handling, and sampling duties as assigned. Perform compounding and packaging duties as required.

External US:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Prepare new and returnable drums for totes filling, labelling, pressure testing, and pumping out heels, if needed.
  • Fill and package drums and totes.
  • Sample and partial count products.
  • Compounding of tanks.
  • Obtain forklift certification and perform material handling operations, as assigned.
  • Operate forklift and other manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Correctly document containers processed as required by standard operating procedures, including manual and electronic logs, forms, and labels.
  • Operate manual and automated equipment in support of job functions.
  • Communicate equipment status and outages to supervision, as needed, for correct and safe operation.
  • Complete all paperwork correctly.
  • Maintain EHS and Quality monthly training as required.
  • Achieve Utility and PSM certification within 3 months.
  • Complete training for certifications per Competency Matrix.
  • Fully certified at Solvents prep within 6 months of hire.
  • Support and participate in Environmental Health and Safety and Quality department programs and requirements.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-1 years chemical handling experience; high purity, chemical, pharmaceutical, military experience preferred.
  • Previous or current tractor truck driving experience a plus.
  • Good computer skills to include MS Office- Excel and Word. SAP experience a plus.
  • Forklift and other manufacturing tool experience a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent safety, work performance, and attendance records.
  • Must have a valid Arizona drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work varied 12 hr shifts, days or nights, including weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Outside work will be required.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
