Job Description
Job Summary:
Perform mechanical and visual inspections to determine the acceptability of PCBs at specified points in the manufacturing process with a primary focus on cross sections. The QC Inspector is responsible for performing all inspections/related tasks as assigned by the QC Supervisor/Manager according to their respective work instructions, IPC specifications, and customer specifications.
Job Tasks:
Handling and Preparation—verify traveler data/panel count, clean panels if necessary, and start up the Ionograph equipment. Mechanical aptitude and good vision for section preparation and reading.
Inspection—inspect boards for part number/revision letter, repeat defects, UL marking/code, material type/thickness, line width/air gap, image quality, plating quality, missing/extra holes, hole sizes, hole wall quality, registration, tin strip, adhesion, solder, solder mask, legend, and mechanical specifications per the appropriate work instructions.
Paperwork—read/fill out Process Travelers, Final Inspection logs, certificates, perform data entry, and learns how to generate First Article Reports.

Requirements:Requirements:
- QC background in a manufacturing a plus.
- must be able to follow documented procedures
- must understand basic math
- must have a good eye for detail
- must have good reading and writing abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- must be able to use hand tools; calipers, micrometer
- must be able to read and understand drawings
- must be able to package boards for shipment
- Must be able to complete FA Reports
Education/Orientation Requirements:
- Advanced Circuits Orientation
- Successfully compete the QC Certification Test and Audit.
Training Period: 2 – 4 weeks.
