Job Description:
As a Labor Law/Construction Attorney, you will handle complex construction-related litigation and labor law matters, primarily focusing on New York Labor Law claims and related high-stakes cases. You will be involved in all phases of litigation, from discovery and depositions to motions practice and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable defending high-exposure cases, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.

Job Description:
As a Labor Law/Construction Attorney, you will handle complex construction-related litigation and labor law matters, primarily focusing on New York Labor Law claims and related high-stakes cases. You will be involved in all phases of litigation, from discovery and depositions to motions practice and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable defending high-exposure cases, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.
Responsibilities:
- Defend New York Labor Law matters, motor vehicle accident cases, and premises liability claims.
- Represent clients in construction-related litigation and labor law disputes.
- Take and defend depositions of witnesses, parties, and experts.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Assist with first-chair trial experience or support second-chair trials as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communications.
- Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations as required.
- Provide strategic legal advice and updates to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Maintain client relationships and manage high-stakes cases, including a $90 million dollar demand case.
- 3-6 years of litigation experience with a focus on labor law and construction law.
- Admission to New York State Bar (NJ admission is a plus).
- Experience defending New York Labor Law matters and other construction-related claims is required.
- Background in motor vehicle accidents and premises liability is highly desirable.
- Must be comfortable taking depositions and representing clients in court.
- Ideally, first-chair trial experience or at least second-chair trial experience.
- Strong knowledge of New York Labor Law and related regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex, high-exposure cases with multiple parties and significant financial stakes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
