Position Summary And ResponsibilitiesTeledyne e2v is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to join Teledyne's Public Sector Global Business Development Team. This position will be responsible for working directly with US Federal, Civil Government customers, Universities as well as indirectly supporting USG customers through Systems Integrator partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance, must be eligible for SCI.
  • 8+ years of direct government industry work experience, preferably in remote sensing, defense and intelligence or geospatial industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Geospatial, or Engineering related fields.
  • Previous experience in BD/sales in U.S Government / DoD customer space based ISR or similar defense / intelligence analysis fields.
  • Experience in supporting strategic multi-year, multi-million-dollar new business capture activities.
  • Experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders in complex environments and short timeframes.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally averaging about 25% with potential peaks up to 50% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within the earth imaging, remote sensing, and GEOINT markets highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with USG Customers, Defense Integrator and OEMs and Global Development Organizations.
  • Live in Colorado
ResponsibilitiesThis position at Teledyne e2v is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled business professional to succeed by growing Teledyne's Public Sector customer portfolio.

  • Building a pipeline of opportunities to support government customers both directly and indirectly partners to position Teledyne as a critical resource for geospatial imagery-derived data products and services.
  • Interact directly with senior government officials and C-suite decisionmakers, as well as internally across Teledyne regions and business units.
  • Leverage strong leadership and communication skills, sophisticated business acumen, knowledge of the market and key players, and the ability to scope, close, and deliver innovative new offerings to new customers.
The successful Senior Business Development Manager is a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering results, an innovative thinker, and a key value generator. This role will succeed with enablement and direction from the Head of Sales Public Sector leadership team and support the business strategy defined by Teledyne's Vice President of Sales and Global Business Development.

Think Strategically
  • Develop and implement the growth strategy for USG, Public Sector and Defense & Intelligence customers. This strategy will build and maintain a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify target clients and build capture plans around strategic activities, desired relationships and business strategies that optimize business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and new government and national security customers. Gain recognition as a trusted and respected representative of Teledyne.
  • Guide the positioning and articulation of our key value propositions to targeted, high value customers.
  • Identify potential partners and opportunities to partner with other systems integrators and business partners to drive business in the government / national security market.
Act Tactically
  • Direct responsibility for driving USG, Public Sector and Defense & Intelligence business development and sales pipeline.
  • Co-develop proposals to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to accurately forecast, implement, and monitor a successful strategic BD/go-to-market programs.
  • Represent Teledyne at user conferences, and a variety of public speaking engagements.
  • Willingness to adopt a common sales methodology & CRM training
Understand Our Customers
  • Demonstrate government industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of remote sensing and Earth observation.
  • Foster intimate knowledge of current geospatial intelligence trends and challenges which drive adoption of new 2D and 3D imagery products for new and innovative applications.
  • Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for an organization. Understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes. Use consultative selling skills to understand operational, mission and business challenges of customers.
  • Leverage your government industry and mission domain knowledge when working with cross-divisional teams to develop sales strategies and business development to increase market share for Maxar Earth Intelligence.

Salary Range$85,000.00-$114,500.000
