Overview
The Land Maintenance Planner will function as a subject matter expert for their specific craft including technical QC of inventory and preservation of spare parts. The position will serve as the primary vendor interface for onshore coordination and execution of major corrective and preventive maintenance as well as major repairs/overhaul projects.
Responsibilities
- Instrument/Electrical: Rockwell Automation/PLCs, Hart protocol, radars, pressure/temperature transmitters, SCADA systems, drives & motors, pneumatic and liquid instrumentation systems, fire, and gas analyzers.
- Automation/Cybersecurity:
- Rotating Equipment: Turbines (Solar), Compressors both centrifugal and reciprocating (Dresser Rand, Enerflex, etc.), Pumps (Sulzer, Goulds, etc.), Combustion Engines, etc.
-Process/Static Equipment: Gas/Oil/Water Processing, Gas Dehydration, Water Treatment for Cooling, Disposal (e.g. trash, process, sewage, etc.), and Injection, etc.

Responsibilities
- Function as a subject matter expert for their specific craft including technical QC of inventory and preservation of spare parts.
- Job owner and primary vendor interface for onshore coordination and execution of major corrective and preventive maintenance as well as major repairs/overhauls. Manages teardowns and repair of equipment in vendor shops and frequently performs site visits/inspections of ongoing shop repairs.
- Periodically performs vendor audits and participates in vendor vetting.
- Ensures vendor report actions are documented and tracked to completion.
- Interfaces and communicates closely with Operations and Reliability Engineering/TA's with respect to providing technical input on equipment failures and repairs, recommended sparing, maintenance strategies, performance standards, and routines to help ensure executability/reality.
- Serves as the primary contact / liaison between contractors, vendors, and the customer's Engineering & Operations to:
- Manage progress of work.
- Update work orders with time, information and getting them closed in a timely manner.
- Support the Autonomous Maintenance process to improve PMs and equipment performance.
- First point escalation for offshore troubleshooting and problem solving within discipline.
- Frequently visits the customer's operated platforms for hands-on support of detailed troubleshooting and leading the execution of major work activities.
- Comply with all requirements in the customer's management systems documents.
- During Houston-based Planning and Scheduling Meetings, provides input into the Integrated Activity Schedule (IAS) and participates in coverage of safety hot spots, regulatory hot spots, production impact activities, any drilling or workover activities, subsea activities and any SIMOPS activities coming up on the IAS schedule.
- Assist in the development and documentation of preservation plans for offshore equipment and storage of key materials.
- Assist with ensuring barrier equipment PM campaigns are scheduled, successfully completed, and assist with the mitigation of faults/failures found during the execution of the PM's.
- Assist with TAR and Shut In work scope planning and scheduling to help ensure optimal work execution.
- Consider compliance with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to BSEE, USCG, and ABS
- Adhere to LEAN work management processes to ensure workflows are efficient and waste eliminated (i.e., SAP, etc.) and prioritize customer engagement through focused GEMBA.
- Provide input and feedback to ensure quality of SAP master data to standards (equipment, job plans/STK's, BOMs).
- Comply with the customer's Work Management process in SAP.
- Validate maintenance expectations and changes with offshore crafts to ensure executability.
- Assist reviewing the asset maintenance strategies output from reliability/work selection for offshore execution.
- Review and provide support for the development of complex work packs and other work packs required by Offshore Planners, Construction Groups, and Project Groups.
- Provide Global Supply Chain Support via material master creation and periodic review and BOM creation for ease of material reorder.
- Provides audit and technical QC of major maintenance and repairs as well as inventory and preservation of spare parts, providing onsite support of critical activities as needed.
- Focus on making CLS lives easier by:
- Creating RJP's.
- Creating BOM's for equipment and RJP's.
- Validating work packs for substance, practicality, executability, and accuracy.
- Communicating / training offshore personnel on RJP's, revised BOMs, and improved work packs to help sustain good offshore work practices.
- Offshore production experience required in the following crafts, production operation, mechanic, instrumentation or electrical.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of Personal and Process Safety
- Achieve, implement, and comply with GOM competency requirements of Craft Logistics Specialist.
- Comply with and meet customer's and regulatory competence requirements through completion.
- Monitor contractor performance and competency to deliver improvements in efficient execution of work.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems
- Planning, scheduling, and the ability to oversee work.
- Must be able and willing to go offshore to fill in during the absence of Offshore Planner.
- Must live within a 50 mile radius to customer's office in Houston, TX or be able to commute.
