That's why we employ the most creative and passionate people in the industry.The Challenge:With the constant increase in velocity of change to keep up with our technology and services, the need for a central group of dedicated senior DevOps/SRE engineers was formed. Their goal is the reduction of run the business workloads through cross organizational standardization, automation and backlog reduction. This group needs a engineering leader to take them onto the next step of transitioning off of support workloads and focusing on large-scale projects.As a Director of DevOps:You will report to a Director of Engineering.You will manage a growing team of DevOps/SRE engineers with an initial team size of 6As a central team you will collaborate with the development teams and use industry-standard solutions to build automation solutions for common operational/development tasksYou will drive standards within your team to monitor service health, log analysis, and automationYou will drive software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operationsYou will push towards operational excellence by identifying opportunities to automate away manual processes.You will drive the reduction of our "run the business", scale our organization and replace costs to our business.You will evaluate and adopt technologies that improve the team efficiency and platform capabilitiesQualificationsPlease note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We encourage you to apply if you can meet most of the requirements and are comfortable opening a dialog to be consideredBachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.10+ years of experience as a Software engineer.5+ years as a people managerExperience using Perforce or Git-based workflows for code managementExperience with Python, Golang, C#, or other scripting languagesUnderstand software configuration management and release management.Experience working with ticketing systems such as JIRA.Experience creating technical documentation for internal and external use.Passion for automation and workflow efficiency.
