General Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations, performing account analysis, assisting with month-end close and supporting the Senior Accountants and Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting department. In addition, this position will serve as the primary Staff Accountant, responsible for the full life cycle of fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance of all company assets.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for day-to-day accounting, reporting and analysis for assigned business units and related product lines Prepare journal entries Prepare analysis of accounts as requested Reconcile cash accounts on a monthly basis Assist in monthly close procedures and production of monthly financial statements within scheduled deadlines Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations of all assigned accounts accurately and within scheduled deadlines Oversee the accurate recording and tracking of all fixed assets, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation. Prepare and maintain detailed schedules of fixed assets, including summaries of capital expenditures, depreciation, and asset disposal. Assist Controller in preparing annual budget and underlying calculations Provide requested information and assist Controller in preparing for/completing bi-annual bank and annual financial statement audits and tax returns Complete other duties and projects as requested by Controller, VP of Finance or other members of management team Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA or MBA preferred 2+ years' experience, in comparable position with multiple locations and product lines Experience with complex ERP systems, Oracle / JD Edwards experience a plus Demonstrated ability to create process efficiencies related to period close and reconciliation procedures Strong accounting and computer skills and expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple complex tasks with frequent interruptions Position Competencies:

Working Conditions:

The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population including other employees, customers, vendors, etc. This position also requires prolonged periods of sitting in a regular seated position as well as the use of general office equipment including phones, printers, computers, (mouse, keyboard, etc.).
